Office hours are from 9:30a.m. to 7:00p.m.

When you cross the Mackinac Bridge on I-75, take the second exit (#344B). Follow US-2 west for five miles. Silver Sands Resort is located on the lake side. Silver Sands is across the street from the Deer Ranch. (Before the mystery spot).

Silver Sands Resort is pet friendly. We welcome pets and their well behaved humans. Max of two pets per cabin. If your pet(s) cause damage to our property in any way you are expected to let us know and It is agreed you will be financially responsible for pet damage and mess. It is also agreed that if we find the damage/mess after your departure that you will pay additional fees for time in cleaning and/or replacement of any damaged property. PLEASE KEEP PETS OFF FURNITURE AND BEDDING! All pet hairs should be swept and vacuumed before your departure. There are brooms, dustpans and working vacuums in all the cabins. Cleaning fee for any additional time in cleaning will be at the rate of $45 per hour. Replacements of damaged items are on a case by case basis. You are expected to keep your pet leashed at all times. Please do not allow your pet(s) to bark excessively or leave the pet(s) alone.

Quilts, pillows, and blankets are provided; we do not provide sheets and towels. That means you bring your own pillow cases, fitted sheet and top sheet and towels.

All cabins include a full kitchen. Every cabin is also equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker.

Due to Michigan laws, do not smoke inside your cabin or near open windows of your cabin. This includes the use of tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes,etc. This is a Michigan state law. Failure to abide will result in a $500 fee that will be invoiced to you and due upon receiving. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your adherence to this important safety regulation.

The total cost of your stay (minus any deposit received) is due at check-in.

We do not accept credit cards at this time. Payment can be made via personal check (deposits only) money order or cash. We do not accept personal checks at check-in.

Yes, you can. The beach itself is stoney so bring watershoes. There are no lifeguards on duty and you swim at your own risk. Silver Sands Resort and/or the property owners are not responsible for injury or loss of life.

Please note that you should NEVER flush down the toilet anything but toilet paper. That means no tampons, sanitary napkins, flushable wipes, baby wipes, diapers, goldfish, condoms, toys, hopes and dreams or anything else you might want to flush down other than your bodily waste and the toilet paper provided by Silver Sands Resort.

Commercial film and photography: Guests should not participate in film or photography that is intended for commercial use or profit, without the documented permission from the owner of Silver Sands Resort. No drones at any time allowed on or near property.

Generally we do not charge a cleaning fee or a pet fee. However there are exceptions to that rule. Wash your dishes before you depart. Please do not place dirty or wet dishes back into the cabinets. If you leave your cabin in a state where it takes us more than 1 hour to clean there will be an excessive cleaning fee of $45 per hour. We will invoice you and it will be due upon receiving.

You should let us know ASAP so we may fix or replace the item. If you depart and we find the broken item or something is missing we will require you to replace and or pay to have the damage fixed. We understand accidents happen and will do our best to be understanding in all cases.

Parking near your cabins on water front is marked with a Park # sign. Do not park on the beach. When staying at cabins 6-12 please parallel park your cars along the left side of the road. Additional parking available if needed in the customer parking area near the office.

You need to call to let us know an estimated time of arrival and we will stay open for you.

Visit the office or call the office during open hours of 9:30AM- 7:00PM.

Checkout is at 10 a.m. There are no exceptions.

All garbage must be deposited in the dumpster behind Cabin #6 prior to checkout. NOT THE FIREPITS.

Please make sure the following is completed prior to checking out:

Ensure cabin is as clean as when you arrived. Wash and put away all dishes. Empty all trash cans. (Garbage should be put in the dumpster behind Cabin #6.) Remove all belongings from your cabin.

Full Charges Regardless of Stay Duration: You are responsible for the full cost of the reservation, even if you check out early or change length of stay for any reason at all. For example, if you've booked a cabin for five nights but decide to leave after three, you are still charged for the full five nights. Deposits are non refundable for any reason.

We prefer you do not move any furniture at all inside or outside the cabin. However if you are compelled to move furniture please move it back to where you found it. Do not slide furniture along the floor as it will damage the floor and you will be responsible to have it fixed.
